About the Role: The role involves providing oversight, governance, and effective challenge over the information security program and technology environment. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining an enterprise-wide risk management program, ensuring strategic priorities align with risk, monitoring controls, and managing the Privacy program and data management governance. Govern and oversee the Bank’s Information Security program and related processes. Design and implement enterprise-wide information security and technology risk assessments. Monitor and validate the effectiveness of controls to manage information and technology risks within the Bank’s risk appetite. Develop policies and standards for technology, controls, and associate behavior. Provide analytics and metrics for executive management and the Board to support risk-informed decision making. Lead the enterprise-wide Privacy Program, including compliance projects and policy development. Advise on privacy compliance related to strategic initiatives and regulatory changes. Lead a team of security, risk, and privacy professionals to mature governance programs. Oversee Third-Party Information Security Assessments (TISA). Manage the Bank’s corporate insurance program. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, including Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, and others. Mentor and train staff as needed, fostering Umpqua’s corporate culture. Perform other duties as assigned. About You: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field (required). Master's Degree (preferred). 15+ years of security or risk leadership experience in a large, regulated organization. 7-10 years managing diverse teams of security, risk, and privacy professionals. Proven experience in control validation and third-party risk evaluation. Knowledge of impacts of technology and process design on risk. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong business acumen in Security, Privacy, and Risk domains. CISSP, CISA certifications (required); GSEC, GSNA, CIA (preferred). Job location options include Tacoma, WA, Spokane, WA, or Lake Oswego, OR, with full onsite work required. Compensation ranges from $151,000 to $220,000, with potential performance-based incentives.
