Duties During their careers, special agents carry out assignments in investigations and protection, often at multiple duty stations across the U.S. and abroad. Responsibilities include: Providing protection for various protectees. Conducting criminal investigations related to financial obligations of the United States. Planning and implementing security for National Special Security Events. This is a demanding role, and our special agents are exceptional individuals. Requirements U.S. citizenship Valid driver's license Firearm proficiency and possession Age between 21 and 37 at the time of conditional offer (exceptions apply for veterans and prior federal service) Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance Visual acuity of 20/100 uncorrected, 20/20 corrected in each eye Hearing within specified limits Drug testing compliance Completion of 13 weeks at FLETC and 18 weeks at the James J.
