The Marketing Associate will play a crucial role in supporting marketing and sales team efforts for Omega Canada corporate partners. The candidate will work alongside the corporate marketing, sales, product, and catalog teams to collect needed data to produce content for email, social, and direct to customer campaigns. The candidate will also support content for tradeshows, customer meetings, and operational content needed for the organization.

The ideal candidate is proficient in the fundamentals of social media marketing, brand guidelines, technical communications, digital design, and content creation. This position will require strong attention to detail, organization skills, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn independently in a dynamic environment.

Automotive related experience is favored but not required. Candidate should have strong communication skills and be willing to learn new software and processes. Management and organization are key due to multiple brands and market segments being assigned to this position.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE 5DAYS PER WEEK.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic and Multi-media Content Creation:

  • Conceptualize and develop visually captivating graphics, illustrations, and multimedia content for various digital platforms.
  • Create engaging videos/animations optimized for social media, ensuring high-quality content that aligns with brand objectives.
  • Creation of printed material using an outside vendor (Flyers, catalogs, newspaper, banners, booths, etc.)

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the sales and marketing team to understand campaign goals. Create content and brand partnerships that align with brand guidelines and strategies. Provide creative input and ideas for marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Support the sales team with content creation for customer meetings and trade shows.
  • Create a channel of consistent communication with product team(s) to better understand industry trends, product developments, and solicit feedback on product related content to ensure accuracy of communication on product features, benefits, and function.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, providing updates on project progress and soliciting feedback when necessary.
  • Stay abreast of the latest social media and email marketing trends, design techniques, and best practices to enhance content quality and effectiveness and regularly assess and optimize content performance based on analytics and insights.
  • Monitor social media channels for feedback and engagement, adjusting content strategies as needed to drive better results.

Asset Management:

  • Manage and organize digital assets including photos, videos, and graphics for easy access and retrieval.
  • Maintain a digital library of content assets, ensuring they are properly cataloged and labeled for efficient use.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Publisher, Excel).
  • Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Acrobat).
  • Although extensive experience is not required, confidence and initiative to develop proficiency through training is required.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and email marketing platforms. (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, TikTok, Constant Contact).
  • Strong organization skills, specific to digital asset management.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Experience: 1 or more years in a marketing related role.

PREFERED SKILLS:

  • Proficient in content creation principles, including export formats, composition, typography, and color theory.
  • Understands distinct purpose of different content types, including graphics, videos, and written.
  • Proficient understanding of social media marketing.
  • Understands the distinct purpose and functionalities of various social media platforms.
  • Familiar with social media analytic tools and metrics.
  • Passion for creativity, innovation, and staying updated on emerging trends in design and social media.
  • Associates or better in marketing related subject.
