Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and spiritually mature Bible/History Teacher for the Middle School. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Christian education, a love for teaching middle school students, and the ability to integrate a biblical worldview into both Bible and history instruction. This teacher will cultivate a classroom environment that encourages spiritual growth, academic excellence, and critical thinking.

Instructional:

• Teach middle school Bible classes (grades 6–8) grounded in biblical truth and Christian doctrine.
• Teach middle school history/social studies classes aligned with academic standards and a biblical worldview.
• Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that integrate faith and learning.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to support diverse learning styles and academic needs.
• Incorporate technology and project-based learning where appropriate.

Classroom Management:

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
• Uphold and enforce school behavior expectations and classroom routines.
• Foster a positive classroom culture rooted in grace, truth, and Christ-like character.

Spiritual Leadership:

• Serve as a spiritual role model in words and actions, both in and out of the classroom.
• Encourage students in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Participate in school-wide spiritual formation activities (chapel, prayer, service projects).

Professional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student growth.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Communicate effectively and regularly with students, parents, and school leadership.
• Uphold the mission, values, and statement of faith of the school.

Qualifications:

Spiritual:

• A committed Christian with a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
• Agreement with and adherence to the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian lifestyle expectations.

Educational & Professional:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Bible, History, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Teaching certification preferred (state or ACSI).
• Teaching experience preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of Scripture and ability to communicate biblical truth effectively.

Personal:

• Passionate about Christian education and discipleship.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Approachable, compassionate, and relational with middle school students.
• Team player with a collaborative spirit and a growth mindset.
