Hiring for a trusted leader in heavy civil construction across Texas, delivering high-quality infrastructure projects that support growing communities. They specialize in roadways, underground utilities, and site development. As we help expand their operations in South Texas, we're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex civil projects in the Corpus Christi area.

Position Summary

The Heavy Civil Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of road and utility construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while ensuring safety, quality, and budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of heavy civil projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Oversee scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company in meetings and inspections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of experience managing heavy civil projects, including roads and underground utilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong understanding of TxDOT standards and municipal utility specifications.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.
