Job Purpose

As the Procurement Team Lead, you will supervise a dedicated team responsible for direct purchasing activities at our PS&P manufacturing sites. You will support the Procurement Unit Lead and Department Lead in achieving operational excellence and performance goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee the collection and reporting of Department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to New Model and Mass Production duties, using data for insightful analyses.
  • Develop strategies to enhance workflow and efficiency across team functions, providing leadership in procurement methods.
  • Manage the New Supplier Process (NSP) registration and conduct training for team members, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Handle change requests from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and timely closure while documenting the process for all stakeholders.
  • Manage associate performance through annual reviews and participate in the hiring process to maintain target headcount levels.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new associates, contributing to skill assessments within your area of responsibility.
  • Occasionally substitute for the Unit Lead, managing procurement-related responsibilities to ensure seamless business operations.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business (Supply Chain) or a related field, or 12+ years of equivalent procurement experience.
  • 10+ years of procurement experience, preferably in the Powersports or Automotive field, with strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or project leadership experience in a similar organization.
  • Ability to provide direction to direct reports in line with established policies.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools or Analytics platforms.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • General knowledge of cost, budget, and financial information management.
  • Knowledge of the SxS and ATV market is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Travel: Average of 1-3 times monthly, varying based on project demands.
  • Physical: Primarily desk work with limited physical activity.
  • Hazards: Typical office and shop setting risks, including exposure to chemicals and moving parts.
  • Overtime: Expected based on project demands.
  • Maintain professional conduct and adhere to all company policies.
