Position Title: Shipping & Receiving Specialist

Location: St. Charles, MO (Teduke)

Position Summary:

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. This role ensures that the inventory is received, inspected, stored, and shipped according to company standards and procedures. This position will also maintain inventory accuracy and support overall warehouse operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support our customers with confidence and respect during all project interactions.
  • Comply with all company procedures pertaining to receiving, shipping, inventory, material handling and safety.
  • Perform basic inbound inspection and verification of inventory and/or customer assets.
  • Complete and maintain shipping/receiving records.
  • Safe movement and storage of assets within the facility, using carts, pallet jacks, forklifts and trucks.
  • Accountable for timely loading / unloading of freight deliveries and outbound shipments.
  • Placement and storage of inventory/customer assets on designated racks/shelves.
  • Package and label items being shipped to ensure orders are delivered on time and without damage.
  • Using UPS and FedEx systems to create shipping documents to ensure proper tracking and delivery of packages.
  • Contact freight partners for quotes and arrange the logistics for inbound and outbound freight.
  • Assist with fulfillment kitting and packing on outbound orders.
  • Set-up and inspection of customer event assets being shipped.
  • Organize and maintain clean shipping desk, docks, and storage areas.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At a minimum 1-year Forklift experience.
  • At a minimum 1- year of Shipping and Receiving experience.
  • At a minimum 1-year Material Handling experience.
  • Highly motivated and strong work ethic.
  • Completion of forklift operation and safety training in 1st 30 days.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic computer data entry skills and the use of Microsoft office products. (Word & Excel)
  • Ability to become proficient with warehouse management systems and shipping software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required for all inventory and order functions.
  • Must demonstrate a consistent and stable work history, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical College Certification in Logistics or related field.
  • Basic repair and refurbishment skills including light fabrication, graphic installation and painting.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Great Plains (GP) business software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically able to stand up to 8+ hours per day.
  • Must have the ability to hear and respond to auditory signals, distinguish tones and pitches in equipment, and use hearing protection during specific tasks.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, climb, balance, and reach overhead.
  • Ability to work in various environments and weather conditions.
  • Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close and/or color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
