About the Role

We’re hiring a Structural Engineer on behalf of our client, a well-established structural engineering firm with a growing Forensics Practice in California. This role is ideal for a California-licensed PE with extensive experience in structural design, damage assessments, and insurance-funded reconstruction projects. You’ll play a key role in renovation and repair work on residential and light commercial structures across Southern California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess existing structures and create jurisdiction-compliant repair and reconstruction plans
  • Collaborate with contractors, adjusters, and owners to develop effective solutions
  • Lead fast-paced CD development including structural and basic MEP/architectural coordination
  • Conduct damage assessments and prepare technical reports and justifications
  • Travel to sites and represent the firm with clients, partners, and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience including forensic and renovation projects
  • California Civil PE license required; SE license a plus
  • Strong knowledge of CalGreen, Title 24, ADA, WUI, and California permitting processes
  • Experience managing $500K+ in annual project revenue
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and client relationship skills
